This text introduces new aspects of the genetic belongingness of the language, Phonetics (Phonemic Inventory of Consonants and Vowels), Phonology, (Phonotactics, Syllable structures of the Language, Morpho-phonological Processes) and some Morphological features of Inor. It mainly discusses the phonological processes of the language how vowels and consonants interact within the course of speech production. Inor has peculiar phonological processes than other Ethio-Semitic languages. Labialization, Nasalization, Palatalization, and Vowel changes are the common features of the language.

Wendimu Habte has studied his BA Degree, English Language and Literature, in Jimma University; MA in Linguistics from Addis Ababa University- specializes on Gurage Language, Analysis of Inor Phonology. Recently, he is teaching Linguistics in Wolaita Sodo University, Department of English Language & Literature since 2008, and involved in researches.
