Gene Kim is a multi-award-winning CTO, researcher, and author. He is the founder of Tripwire and served as CTO for thirteen years. He is the author of six books, which have sold over one million copies, including The Unicorn Project (2019), and coauthor of the Shingo Publication award-winning Accelerate (2018), The DevOps Handbook (2016), and The Phoenix Project (2013). Since 2014, he has been the organizer of DevOps Enterprise Summit, studying the technology transformations of large, complex organizations.Kim has a Master of Computer Science from the University of Arizona and has been studying high-performing technology organizations since 1999. He was the founder and CTO of Tripwire, Inc for 13 years, an enterprise security software company. In 2007, ComputerWorld added Gene to the "40 Innovative IT People to Watch Under the Age of 40" list, and he was named a Computer Science Outstanding Alumnus by Purdue University for achievement and leadership in the profession. He lives with his wife and children in Portland, OR. Kevin Behr is the founder of the Information Technology Process Institute (ITPI) and the general manager and chief science officer of Praxis Flow LLC. Kevin has 25 years of IT management experience and is a mentor and advisor to CEOs and CIOs. He is the co-author of The Phoenix Project and The Visible Ops Handbook. George Spafford is a research director for Gartner, covering DevOps, technical change, and release management, in addition to the use of bimodal IT and the pace-layered application strategy. His publications include hundreds of articles and numerous books on IT service improvement, as well as co-authorship of The Phoenix Project, The Visible Ops Handbook, and Visible Ops Security. Illustrator Biography (include city/state of residence): Mike Collins moved to Wales in 1985 after an abortive stab at a career in the law, in London. Despite his law degree and experience working in law courts Mike decided that he enjoyed the fiction-based life of comic book characters over the fiction-based statements of clients. He has since illustrated for such comic book publishers as DC and Marvel among others and for such popular characters as Superman, Spiderman, and Dr. Who. As well as comics, Mike is a storyboard artist for children's TV shows, primarily the BAFTA-winning Hana's Helpline, and live-action film. He also storyboarded on the film Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie and on the television shows Doctor Who, The Witcher, and Sex Education. Mike was married to Karen Collins and they have three daughters, Bethan, Rebecca, and Rhiannon, and a granddaughter, Annie. He lives in Cardiff in the United Kingdom.
