Born on June 19, 1863, in Paddington, London, Pemberton became a prominent figure in late 19th and early 20th-century literature. Some of his notable works include The Iron Pirate, a thrilling maritime adventure, and The Garden of Swords, a historical novel set against the backdrop of war.
