Autorenporträt
Bill Herrin is a law enforcement veteran with the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Southern California. Serving the community in patrol, and teaching children in public schools about the dangers of gangs and drugs gave him insight into people's adversities. Often in his law enforcement career, he would see people diminished by others because of their situations, but he knew God valued them equally. Through his years, he found helping people in unfortunate circumstances was a gift from God. After retiring, he volunteered to help the needy and homeless by working in his church compassion ministry where he passed out food to the community. Lifting up a person by giving through the generosity of money and time was a blessing. The book, 'The Peacock and the Bear' purpose is to share with his grandchildren and others God's lessons on generosity and love for all his special creations.
