Brad Boney vit au Texas, à Austin, la septième ville la plus gay d'Amérique. Il aime à raconter des histoires sur les beaux garçons de son quartier, non loin de l'Université du Texas. Nouveau venu dans la romance homosexuelle, il prévoit de placer tous ses livres à Austin et espère ainsi faire la promotion de sa ville. Il a grandi dans le Midwest et fait ses études à l'Université de New York. Il a vécu à Washington et à Houston avant de s'installer à Austin. D'après lui, son expérience au théâtre a marqué son style d'écrivain, qu'il appelle dialogues et placement des acteurs sur la scène . Il considère Amour et Amnésie comme la plus grande comédie romantique de tous les temps et Strapped est son film gay préféré des dix dernières années. Il n'a jamais rencontré de boysband qu'il n'aimait pas. Et oui, c'est vrai, la saison d'Emily dans The Bachelorette a restauré sa foi en l'amour.
