Byung-Yeon Kim is Director of the Institute for Future Strategy and Distinguished Professor in the Department of Economics at Seoul National University. He published a number of articles in international journals and wrote an influential book on the North Korean economy (Unveiling the North Korean Economy, Cambridge University Press, 2017).
