Tabitha Jenkins, from Gainesville, FL has had a life-long passion for children and reading. Since she was a young child, Tabitha has enjoyed writing stories and poetry. As an adult, Tabitha has been continually inspired by the people, especially the children, from the small town where she grew up. Seeing a lack of books in her community that displayed African American children in relatable circumstances, Tabitha was motivated to create a collection of children's books dedicated to the wonderful children in her hometown of Alachua, FL. The stories are aimed to stimulate imagination in young readers while building pride for their community. Through these stories, Tabitha hopes her positive messages and life lessons to children will be a lasting contribution to the community that raised her with everlasting love and support. Tabitha's mission is to ensure that kids from small towns understand the importance of dreaming big.
