Dr. Genuino is an Assistant Professor at Felician University. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Rutgers University and completed her Post-Masters in Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner certificate from William Paterson University. She received her master's in nursing Degree with a Leadership and Education focus from Regis University. She obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from Chinese General Hospital Colleges in Manila, Philippines.Dr. Genuino published in Elsevier's Applied Nursing Research Journal for her work on the effects of simulation training on the self-efficacy of nurses caring for patients with Heart Failure and COPD. Her most recent research is on moral distress in registered nurses who cared for patients in Covid-19 designated critical care units. She was a chapter contributor for the 5th edition of Critical Care Made Incredibly Easy by Wolters Kluwer. She was the president of NJSNA for Region 2, and Co-chair of the Education Committee of PNANJ. She received the 2023 IFN C.A.R.E.S. Award for Excellence in Education. She also received the nurse recognition award from the New Jersey League of Nursing in 2022 and was nominated for their inaugural Daisy Award for Clinical Educators.
