Laura also learns that Nnogarth will stop at nothing to get her. In his attempts to destroy her, Nnogarth kidnaps her younger brother, Andy, and takes him to his military camp in another dimension. Laura begs to go with Lily and travel to Nnogarth's domain to rescue her brother. Lily must first take Laura to the land of the Enchanted Carousel so that she can become a young Mmajjian warrior, which will enable her to have the ability to travel freely through the dimensions.
