Perhaps you might have thought about what would happen if you could change in anything you want. Eric Carle shows young children what would happen if this wish becomes true in his book for children „The Mixed-Up Chameleon“. The chameleon lives a happy life, fully content with his lifestyle, until the day he sees a zoo. His world changed completely because he discovered so many animals who were different. As he saw the possibilities of the others he wishs to have these traits, too. His wish becomes true. He get more and more and more and so on talents of the other animals. For example he is able to swim like a fish, to observe like a giraffe and is as strong as an elephant. The chameleon slowly understands that whatever he get neither of it is better than what he already has and he changes back to is normal self and continue living his daily lifestyle.<br />The book is really suitable for children because they get to learn necessary morals packed in a beautiful story. I recommend the book to all young children- especially to those who are unsatisfied with what they got. It´s an really lovly story with great art. All children have to love it! I wish I’d read it in my childhood, too.
