Rita's journalistic experience and prominence among the Malay community makes her the perfect candidate to represent the community as well as to compile this collection of recipes from various Malay ethnic groups. With a lifelong passion for food and cooking, Rita continues to expand her presence in the culinary world. She has produced several television cooking programmes, and in 2012, she launched her own bakery- Che Zahara by Rita Zahara. Rita also conducts cooking workshops and hosts culinary heritage discovery trips. Rita's versatility is evident from how she juggles her many responsibilities on top of running integrated transmedia agencies-ReTA Pte Ltd and the upcoming Beehive Transmedia Incubator.
