Autorenporträt
DuShon Johnson is a prolific writer, lecturer and inspirational speaker with an intrinsic flair for poetry. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, DuShon had a tough childhood. She faced poverty, abuse, violence and abandonment, but became liberated to tell stories of abuse, neglect and hope. For DuShon, poetry was a way to escape. DuShon was writing poetry before she even knew it was called poetry. Writing her secret world where she could freely express herself without condemnation and suppression. DuShon is a mother and grandmother of five. She and her new husband William Johnson III work as a ministry team at their local church along with other divinely led assignments. DuShon, an ordained Minister, is completing her BA in Administration and Accounting at Sojourner Douglass College.
