There are ten resorts in Armenia all of which may become internationally known for their natural curable resort resources: mineral water, curable mud, turf and good conditions for climate therapy. The assets are compared with universally known resort resources of Karlovy Vary, Zheleznovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Vichy, Borjomi, Abastuman, Kislovodsk, Esentuki, etc. Undoubtedly, Armenia was known as a regional resort centre during the Soviet era. However, nowadays there are many obstacles for development. Based on SWOT analysis and marketing survey the monograph reveals the main issues and offers aconceptual plan and numerous steps for the development of the sphere. The book is anticipated for students, researchers, state organs of tourism management, organizations and workers of this sphere.

Gayane Rubik Tovmasyan is PhD in Economics, Professor at the Chair of Tourism and Crisis Management at Armenian State University of Economics. She is the author of more than thirty scientific articles in tourism sphere, co-author of two manuals for students ("Economics Theory" and "Management Basics").
