Autorenporträt
The Libertine and her Lawyer is the first book of Monique Meier's five-part series of the Singular Sisters Society dealing with the lives and loves of a group of exceptional women who met at University and forged unbreakable lifelong friendships over several decades. Based loosely on the friends she met when studying for a degree, Monique wrote her series because of the invisibility of mature women in today's digital age and youth culture. After graduating from university, Monique's passion for freedom and adventure saw her explore Australia, sleeping under the stars on an 8,000 km circumnavigation of the outback. Wandering abroad to Asia, North Africa and Europe the suburban girl inhaled the essence of new cultures, faces and experiences. Marrying her childhood sweetheart she then moved to Switzerland, her mother's home country, and worked as a bilingual communications assistant for World Wildlife Fund International. The interesting women she met along the way, and the friendships forged, as well as her friends from University, inspired her to create the characters for this series of books. After divorce and loosing her parents, Monique returned to Sydney where she now lives with her beautiful daughter.
