About the Author Wendy Goris was born in Gilroy, California. She still lives in Gilroy. She has loved watching her town grow from a small agricultural town to a suburb of San Jose. She met her childhood friend, Curt Goris, in the first grade. They got married in 1991 and have been married for 31 years. She is a Lego STEM teacher. She loves to teach hands-on Lego projects that reinforce what the students are learning in Math and Science. In addition to writing, her favorite hobbies are building giant Lego displays, with working parts, and cooking. About the Illustrator Bradley Orlando is a freshman in high school and lives in San Martin, California with his family and lots of animals. God has given him a love of drawing since he was old enough to hold a crayon in his hand. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer, running cross country and cooking. His big passion is playing guitar and spending time with friends and family.
