During the 1955 Little League season in Simsbury, Connecticut, the Giants, a team of no-name players upset the mighty Yankees to win that season's championship. The season was played on a field that no longer exists - down in a sleepy hollow that is no more. Now, over 66 years later, there remains no accepted rationale of just exactly what happened. That's what makes that long ago 1955 season so mysterious, so alluring, and why I needed to travel down some very old roads, resurrecting those memories from so long ago by digging up some very old bones. Those memories, well, I needed to remember them before I forgot.
