Gary Edwards formerly lived in England with his wife and son, where he was fascinated that, historically, the monarchy owned everything in their kingdom, including the wild animals, fish, and birds. He lives in Felton, California. Masako Dunn is a book illustrator and pastel, oil, and watercolor artist. Her art has been exhibited in galleries across Japan and Hawaii. She owns the Mako Gallery in northwest Montana. She lives in Whitefish, Montana.
