Produktbeschreibung
This book provides detail information about the KAP level of female adolescents on SRH in Rural Communities of Srilanka. It is of high interest to get to know the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) level and health seeking behavior of adolescents and to see how they deal with the respective health problems, particularly in rural Sri Lanka. The lack of adequate information sources, self awareness among adolescents and access to services in the community are the main determinants for the low KAP level among adolescents with regard to RH-related issues. The unavailability of specific ARH service centers were found to be one of the main factors affecting adolescents' health service seeking behavior in these areas. Similarly, doubt of breaking confidentiality when visiting the facility and receiving services were prevailing. This is another discouraging factor for Adolescents' SRH seeking practice. Due to the unavailability of friendly health services, constantly existing traditional beliefs and social norms and the lack of sensitivity toward SRH among parents, adolescents are being discouraged to visit HF.
