An early arrest was made on Dustin Silver and he was charged with First Degree Murder and the police reported to the local news media that Silver had the means, opportunity and motive to commit the crime. In comes experienced Seattle Attorneys Jackie Skelton, Mark Scalia and Colin Thurgood to defend Dustin Silver. Private Investigators David Anson and Monty Victor joined the Defense Team. The Private Investigators soon developed information that two local well known criminals, Ryan Bates and Juan Garcia were the actual killers. Their crime spree continued after the death of John Adams and exploded into violence that killed gang members and drained local law enforcement resources to control the spiraling violence. Detectives David Anson and Monty Victor went into the underbelly of the drug and criminal scene to locate witnesses that would not speak to the police and gathered evidence to exonerate Dustin Silver.
