The Initial Impact and Effectiveness Of NGP: The Role of MEUFA-CBFMPO in Cabagan, Isabela, Philippines. In the Philippines, President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III, issued Executive Order on February 24, 2011, declaring the implementation of the National Greening Program (NGP), a government priority program to reduce poverty, promote food security, environmental stability and biodiversity conservation and enhance climate change mitigation and adaptation. This book contributes additional data and information to the body of knowledge which may help serve as a basis for the various interest groups, not only for the implementation of NGP Phase II in the Philippines but also for other similar projects/programs of similar situation and condition in other places, such as the policy makers in making decisions on their courses of action in formulating their implementing rules and regulations, the development financial institutions (DFIs) in setting their objectives and their awardees, the program management agencies (like the DENR in its NGP and its partner agencies like NGOs, POs, private sector) in making their institutional arrangements, the academe, R&D and other institutions.
