The land-use change and the urbanization have intense impact on the groundwater resources. There is a huge gap of resources and research works to address this type of problem. This book will address such types problem using a real case scenario of the Joe Pool Lake Catchment of Texas, United States of America.A MODFLOW model was used to estimate the groundwater potentiometric surface before and after urbanization. Model was calibrated using the available water level data, base-flow of two creeks inside the catchment and hydraulic conductivity. The findings of the research and recommendation is included. MODFLOW model is an open source window-based parent code developed by United States Geological Survey. MODFLOW code has proven extremely helpful when calculating hydraulic head, water budget, and can be extended to contaminant transport and particle path even for users with very little knowledge of mathematics and computer coding. In the book, we analyzed the land-use change priorto the urbanization to the year 2010. Using the information in this book, readers can understand the physics of groundwater, groundwater budget and interrelation between land-use change and urbanization.
