Having been aware of the importance of the religious stories and their impact in the social life of human being, the researcher of the present study decided to compare the story of prophet Yusuf (as) in according to the Quranic and Biblical Perceptions and the TV series of produced and directed by Farajollah Salahshour. For Muslims, Christians and Jews Prophet Yusuf's (as) life story is definitely the story of each individual in which they are confronted most frequently in their daily life. This book contains a brief outline of the story of Prophet Yusuf. As the model of this study introduces no types of measurement, the assessment is completely qualitative based on Ngamsa's framework. Thus the analysis is a comparison between the main text and the film in accordance to Ngamsa's approach. Thus, the concepts of sense relations in lexical cohesion as outlined by the film director and the analytical tool of cohesive chains have proved to be adaptable and useful for a task of this nature.

Shaban Ghoreishi Nia was born on March 1969 in Chabahar. He took his B.A. from Chabahar University and his M.A. from IAU Shahre -Ghods Branch. From 1944 he continues his work in Iran Air Central Office and he also teaches English as an excellent professor in Chabahar university.Ali Asghar Barati (the co-author)is an English teacher in Esfarayen.
