Il dottor Nurdeng Deuraseh è professore associato del Centro di ricerca Halalan Thayyiban dell'Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Negara Brunei Darussalam.È stato professore associato presso la Facoltà di Ecologia Umana e capo del Laboratorio di Politica e Gestione Halal dell'Istituto di Ricerca sui Prodotti Halal, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
