Poetry has been the sole vehicle through which I have transitioned from childhood to adolescence. Both in the perception of beauty in life and rebellion against injustice, I have repeatedly leaned on poetry. Poetic justice in a way has been the ultimate test of justice. At the same time poetry also has been a hunger. There has been a search for new poets all through life, and for this purpose the world indeed has been a small village with only one language, that is poetry. Two of my poems are tributes to the Spanish poets Rosalia de Castro (1837-1885) and Antonio Machado (1875-1939).
