Edilberto Clairefont Dias Maia es psiquiatra y psicoanalista, graduado en 1981 por la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad del Estado de Pará. Tiene formación en Psicoanálisis por el Instituto de Psicoterapia Analítica de Grupo del Estado de São Paulo. Es autor del libro Como nossos pais: a função da identificação na construção dos modelos.
