Purushottam Mahajan is visually challenged poet and author. His significant publications are Mahabharat of My Life: An Autobiography in English and Marathi; Three collections of poems in Marathi: The Stones Got Turned into Flowers, Visualizing Universe from All Side, Insight; Editor of the Magazines in Marathi Antarvedh and Akshay Sanvedana; Jagva Samvedana: A Collection of articles and speeches in Marathi. He served as Professor in A. V. College of Arts at Vasai, Maharashtra, India. At present, he is President of The National Organization of Blinds. He is the recipient of National Teachers' Award and several cultural and literary awards at state and national levels.
