About The AuthorDr. Orlando David Garcia is a Cuban Canadian medical doctor and a Neurologist who did research in the area of coma and brain death. In 1992 while working in the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Havana, Cuba, he was awarded a National Prize for the best scientific work of the year for a study on Heart Rate Variability in Coma and Brain Death. He is happily married to Crystal, his wife of 25 years, and they have two children.
