Lisa Calhoun Owen was born and raised in Garner, North Carolina. She is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington and is a former probation/parole officer. Her first book, The Moonlight Dancer, won four national awards. She is also a songwriter and is working on her debut CD to be released in early 2022. Lisa's greatest joy is to spend time with her family. She divides her time between Charlotte, Southport/Oak Island, and Surf City, North Carolina.
