Später im Leben saß er als Lehrer in der Schule eben vorne und kritzelte immer noch Geschichten aufs Blatt, anstatt einen vernünftigen Unterricht abzuliefern. Heute sitzt M.D.Whalen wieder hinten, allerdings im eigenen Haus und schreibt Bücher unter verschiedenen Namen. Wenn er frei hat, reist er gerne, forscht nach peinlichen Geräuschen in Fremdsprachen und kucktzu, was sie selber mit ihm machen.
