The Explicit Strategy-based Instruction and Speaking Improvement is a case study that tries to explore the effects of explicit strategy-based instruction on the improvement of oral presentation capabilities of EFL learners in Iran. 30 Iranian male learners (from Parsabad Moghan city, located in Ardebil province), were selected through an Oxford Placement Test and were subjected to an oral production and strategy application checklist. Then the experimental group received explicit strategy-based instruction. The subjects were then retested in strategy application and oral production speaking ability. T-test was run to assess the differences. The results revealed the impact of explicit instruction on both strategy application and oral performance of EFL learners. This book, most especially, the results of the book are useful for teachers and syllabus designers. Teachers can use specified strategies in order to guide their teaching for improving learners' language learning skills. Syllabus designers can also include suitable strategies for teaching each part of lesson in their lesson books.
