Milan Chvála, DrSc (1989) in Biology, is Professor of Entomology at Charles University, Prague. He has published more than 200 scientific papers in dipterology including several monographs and books, for instance volumes 3 (1975), 12 (1983) and 29 (1994) of the Fauna Entomologica Scandinavica.
