This is a literary study of Ekiti folksongs, a type of oral literature produced in Ekiti community of South-West Nigeria. Dr. Agbaje obtained a B.A and M.A Yoruba Literature degrees in 1980 and 1985 respectively from Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife,Nigeria.He got his Ph.D in Yoruba Oral Literature from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 1997.He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife, Nigeria
