The study examined the role of the Nigerian Diaspora community in the United Kingdom in the relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom. It focused on evaluating the contributions of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK to Nigeria's development. The study indicated that the Nigeria-UK remittance corridor is the largest in Africa and remittance is a major means of communication between Nigerians in the UK and Nigeria. It also established that an unabated migration of Nigerians to the UK has resulted in stricter UK immigration policies, which has more to do with social security and strain on infrastructures. The study concluded that both Nigeria and the United Kingdom have benefitted from the presence of the Nigerian community in the UK. Therefore, the issue of brain drain can no longer be given a simplistic definition. The Nigerian government needs to do more to fully harness the potentials of the UK diaspora community.
