In addition, as a consequence of the need to maximize economy of all resources needed for daily life on a planet with none of its own, all everyday services of Moonbase are provided by public facilities operating on closed ecology principles, and everyone wears a uniform coverall cleaned by the central laundry. Particularly important is the mantra: "Every drop of water, every breath of air is precious." Therefore it is incumbent upon all residents to prevent any leakage of water or air, however small, from the closed, underground ecosphere.
