The book also provides a theoretical framework and teaching model for improving the academic performance of distance language learners. The essence of the model is the conception of the distance language learners capability of using the media in the learning process to enhance her or his academic performance. The final chapter gives some conclusions and looks ahead to kinds of possible other investigations on the similar field and to the frameworks which have been developed to understand the teaching/learning materials.

Dr. Bibiana Shauri Komunte (PhD) was born in Tanzania in 1952. BA Education, Masters in Language Education and PhD.She is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at OUT. She is a lecturer in English Language teaching Methods, Morphology, Semantics and Applied Linguistics.She has presented several papers in international conferences.
