Wondrous...brilliantly inventive...dazzling. Not simply the most original novel I've read in years - it's also one of the best The Times
hey out there!
In my opinion this book is excellent because of its plot and the idea of being written by a 15-year-old.
I liked the way things were explained and also i liked all those reviews between each chapter.

In my class we were reading this story and i have to say it could have been a real boring story instead.. so i am well happy to be able to say that this book was great and that i enjoyed reading it.
Finally i have to say i would tell anybody to have a look at it.
I'll continue my reading log on it by now, so farewell
and have fun !

Read this novel at school and I liked it very much.
It is interesting to see the story from the view of point of an authistic protagonist, almost the story - mother leaves ill child and his father - is known.

The story is written in the first-person perspective of Christopher John Francis Boone, a 15-year-old boy with Asperger syndrome living in Swindon, Wiltshire. Although Christopher's condition within the autism spectrum is not stated explicitly within the novel, the summary on the book's inside cover or back cover describes it as Asperger syndrome.
It won the 2003 Whitbread Book of the Year and the 2004 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book.
I found it very well written but it can get a little sad and tedious at times. However, the ending brightens up the prospective and it is really encouraging.

Hello from Germany!
We´ve read the book and so we want to say that the author did a great job with his authistic way of writing. The story introduces to you a complete different world which brings up some interesting quesitons, because a lot of things we see as normal are for Christopher completely new, though he questions these things. BUT most of the time this perspective is so fucking confusing, annoyingand stupid, because he questions every little shit.
Recommendable for mathematic interested people
Much love Benjamin Buhl

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a very good and realistic book because it shows the mind of an authistic boy very clearly and in detail. I read the book in class and also the other pupils liked the book very well. One point i like was the way the book is written, because the writer of the book tried to produce a point of view from the boy and the narrator. Because of the well-knwon words which were used by the author it´s easy to understand the story and the context of the book.
Tobi and Flori
PS. we liked that there was no normal numbering of the chapters.

The curious incident of a dog is a very special written book. It shows quiet clear the life and feelings of the autistic boy Christopher. As his parents decided to finish their relationship, he has to live through very different feelings. It´s an easy written novel about the reactions of an autistic person and it´s very interessting how the author shows us this way of living

The book tells a story about a 15 year old boy, who isn´t able to cope with the world around him, because he doesn´t understand emotions and feelings. He ca only think in very clear logical structures. At the beginning Christopher, the main character, finds a dog killed with a fork. Because of this incident he wants to play detective and to find out who killed the dog. This event is about to change his life completely. During the story he doesn´t only finds out who killed the dog, he also discovers strange things, he doesn´t understand and expect, about his family.
All in all this book is very interesting, because it describes the life of an authistic boy and his view of things around him. It´s a completely new experience for the reader.
