Ryan Keith Johnson was born in Stillwater Minnesota and grew up in Somerset Wisconsin. He started getting into writing in grade school and decided to give up his dream to becoming a professional soccer player to write. He started writing his first novel in sixth grade and completed it in eight grade. He started writing short stories in 1998, 2002 , 2008 and 2009.
