His most famous and influential works include the novels Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov and The Idiot and the novella, Notes From Underground. Michael Wood is Professor Emeritus at Princeton University and the author of, among other books, Literature and the Taste of Knowledge and The Habits of Distraction.
