Want to be fearless, fabulous, and ooze confidence for the rest of your life? Then this is the ultimate guide you need. I know, I know… you've heard it all and seen it all. All this talk of 'ultimate guides' and 'ultimate solutions' has left you disillusioned and, frankly, totally disappointed. People should be ashamed of themselves. Because it's all just lies, right? No matter what you try, you always end up back at square one. Your self-doubt is still at an all-time high. You're still under too much academic pressure. You still don't like the body you see in the mirror. Your self-esteem still sucks. And let's not forget the pressures of fitting in at school… Ugh. At least you've finally figured out the truth: some people are just born confident, and you didn't get the lucky gene. Well, you're wrong-about two things. 1. You haven't heard or seen everything yet (this book didn't exist last time you checked). 2. No one is born confident. Seriously. That myth has been debunked. Let me ask you something: are you really ready to give up on your dreams and resign yourself to a mediocre, unfulfilled life? Because if you are, you can stop right here and go do whatever it is boring people do. But if you're not, if you're serious about becoming the best version of yourself, you need every juicy detail The Confident Teen has to offer. All you have to do is grab your own copy to discover: The truth about confidence and how to cultivate it the right way. Where self-doubt comes from and how to beat it so it can never hold you back again. How to overcome your worst fears like a boss. How to get over all that stress and anxiety that keep you up at night. How to accept and embrace yourself-flaws, quirks, and everything included! How to regulate your emotions and feel in control all the time. The right way to talk to yourself (yes, you can actually control that nagging, nasty voice in your head). How to stay true to yourself and say no when you need to, no matter how much your friends or classmates try to pressure you. How to have healthy relationships with your friends and family. Fool-proof strategies for building confidence in every aspect of your life. And much more! This book is filled with practical hacks, inspiring stories from other teens who have overcome the odds, and the tools you need to craft an epic life for yourself.
Autorenporträt
Teacher and writer Marnie David is the author of The Confident Teen and Deal With It. Her writing aims to foster confidence in tweens, teens, and even adults, equipping them with the tools they need to overcome their self-doubt, anxiety, and fear, and build their self-confidence day by day. With a master's degree in education, Marnie has been a public school teacher for 18 years. She's as passionate about working with her students to build their confidence as she is about teaching them subject knowledge, and has spent years developing creative ways to do this. Marnie describes herself as a 'recovering awkward person', and having struggled with self-esteem issues as a young adult herself, she has always been determined to make sure that both her students and her own children have a better experience than she did. She recognizes the difficulties presented by adolescence and is determined to inspire young people to fight forward with confidence. Having witnessed the positive impact her strategies have had on her students, she began combining her skills as a writer with her experiences from the classroom to produce books that would help more teenagers become their best selves. Marnie lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, two sons, and their beloved cockapoo.
