Charity Joy is a California-based poet, writer and author of the new book The Colors of my Heart, A Collection of Poetry. Her work touches on the joy of love, trauma of loss, depths of sadness, and the promise of hope. Her thoughtful words have resonated with readers looking for solace from everyday trials and tribulations. Charity Joy has been a lifelong writer and first began writing poetry in elementary school. Growing up in a one parent home with her three siblings offered its share of hardships; substance abuse, schizophrenia and instability. Charity found an escape in her writing, that escape eventually grew into a passion. Publishing a poetry book was always on her bucket list, which has now officially been checked off! When she's not reading or writing, Charity loves to cook while belting out ballads for her dog Otis. She lives in California, with her husband and extended family.
