Sonata Maciulskyte ist außerordentliche Professorin an der Universität Klaipeda (LT). Sie promovierte in Sozialwissenschaften an der Universität von Lappland (FI). Sie ist auch externe Expertin der Europäischen Kommission. Ihr wissenschaftliches Interesse gilt dem Altern, der (in)formalen Demenzpflege und der Unterstützung von Menschen mit Demenz und ihren Familien.
