Recently, eyelid tumors are noticed to be seen as more frequent than before in Sudan. This necessitates casting more light on this serious health issue, together with sharing knowledge with others. Place of the study was Khartoum and Omdurman hospitals. It is noticed that 2/3 of patients came within 6 months to 1 year of the appearance of the swelling; however, it was reported to grow rapidly during this short period. This is especially so with the malignant types. The clinical presentation of the malignant types is noticed to follow an aggressive and rapidly growing course, with the exhibition of poorly differentiated histopathological findings and atypical cells. The affection of children reflects the seriousness of the problem. Women are noticed to present more frequently than men with both benign and malignant tumors. This probably reflects the socio-economic changes that led women to be working more outdoors; exposed to sunlight to earn money in order to support their families. The increased use of harmful chemical cosmetic compounds without medical advice can be attributed as a cause as well.
