Among the written sources of Russian culture, the leading place belongs to the chronicles. The chronicle - a genre of historical work in which the narration is conducted on years (years), in chronological order. Therefore, the chronicle can be considered as a generalized monument of Russian culture. The Chronicle is the basis of the history of the state, its ideology, comprehension of understanding the place of the state in the world history; it is one of the most important monuments of both writing and literature, history and culture in general.
