In 1991 she was designated an Honorary Member of the Guild of Book Workers in recognition of her significant contributions to the book arts in America. Nicholas A. Basbanes is a writer and journalist. His bestselling book A Gentle Madness: Bibliophiles, Bibliomanes, and the Eternal Passion for Books was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in nonfiction.
