Autorenporträt
Teresa McCoy is a retired primary school teacher who lives in Georgia with her husband, Doug, of over forty-five years. They have four children and eight grandchildren--a noisy and lively group on Thanksgiving. Teresa and Doug have spent years researching family history, starting in the 70's and 80's with microfilmed records in the University of Georgia Library. In recent years they visited the archives in Utah, used various genealogy websites, DNA testing, and have learned how to effectively search state courthouses and cemeteries. The discovery that they both have Scottish roots resulted in three trips to the United Kingdom. Both have become active members of the America Scottish Foundation as well as the Clan MacKay and Clan Gregor Societies of America and Scotland. Teresa's hobbies include writing, reading, gardening and travel, and she loves being with her grandchildren. She also enjoys spending time at their cabin in the woods of the North Georgia Mountains. Teresa is a member of The Reading Roadies, a traveling book club; and P.E.O. which provides scholarships for women worldwide. Both Doug and Teresa are avid University of Georgia football fans.
