Originally from Parsippany, New Jersey, Stephanie DiFilippo-King obtained an advanced degree and special training in Clinical Bioethics. She currently works in hematology and oncology clinical trial research. Now making her home in Columbus, Ohio, she is married to Levi King. They have two beautiful children named Nico and Gianna. The Brave Cancer Fighters was inspired by her time working at Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania.
