Futuristic Science/Sex/Death/Love Techno-spying/Philosophy/Murder.... a novel that foresaw September 11, ten months before it happened! "Read The Bone and discover the essential Anti-Hero for the 21st Century, the unforgettable and charismatic, 36-year-old Turkish photographer, Selim Targan. All important works of literature break with tradition and test the moral boundaries of the society that produced them. In this sense, The Bone is an important book." --David Applefield, author of On a Flying Fish "As I read the book I feel as if I'm sitting at the same bar with Henry Miller, Dostoevsky, Sartre and Kosinsky. The subtitle should have been Everything you knew about life but were afraid to face." --Nejat Bayramoglu (Cumhuriyet Book Review-Istanbul) Driven by a fresh dose of contemporary existentialism, Baykam's The Bone blows a hole in our continued struggle to fight death. The Bone is a strangely and wildly amusing futuristic commentary on new technology and cutting-edge science, in which complex human relations dance in dense and freshly-perverse sexual encounters. Welcome to the world of genetic spying by the planet's new enemies and a whole host of evil forces.
