Jonathan Stahnke lives with his wife, Michelle, and their four children in Colorado, where they enjoy exploring the outdoors and learning about local history. Some of the personalities in The Blue Feather Escape originate from Jonathan's observations of people during his years in the oil and gas industry from southern Texas to northern Alberta, Canada.

Naomi Jewell is homeschooled and a junior in high school. She lives with her parents, Jonathan and Michelle, and her three adopted siblings in Colorado. She enjoys worship dance, writing stories, and spending time with friends and family.
