Meikle Paschal, Ed.D. was born and raised in the South End of Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Boston Public Schools and earned his diploma from Boston Technical High School. Dr. Paschal earned a Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree, dual major in Psychology and English from University of Massachusetts at Boston. Later he completed a M.Ed. program from Cambridge College. He obtained a Master's Degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, completed a doctoral program at University of Massachusetts at Lowell; and received the degree of Doctorate in Education with a major in Education Leadership. Along the way Dr. Paschal obtained a teaching certification in English, supplementing the initial certification with principal licenses for the high school, middle school and elementary school levels. Before becoming an administrator in the Boston Public School System, he was the Director of Roxbury Enrichment Services, a Nonresident alternative education facility. The bulk of his career has been spent in the field of education. Dr. Paschal worked in the Boston Public School System primarily as an administrator performing various duties i.e., Specialist, Assistant Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. As his career advanced, he worked at many area colleges and universities: Fitchburg State, Framingham State, and Curry College, in the area of Educational Leadership teaching various courses on the Graduate and C.A.G.S. levels. After retiring from the Boston Public School system, Dr. Paschal continued teaching a variety of courses in English, Literature, Philosophy and Skill Development. Dr. Paschal's teaching addressed his passion for working with underprepared and learning-challenged students at Bunker Hill, MassBay and Middlesex Community Colleges. Dr. Paschal developed the Academic Support for Athletes Program (A.S.A.P.) at MassBay Community College. In addition to his teaching responsibilities he held the position of Academic Advisor to MassBay's student athletes. Dr. Paschal is the founder and director of Metropolitan Educators Association (M.E.A.) in affiliation with Fitchburg State College. M.E.A. which provided graduate courses, professional development training and other services to area educators. The Lenox Street Chronicles is Meikle Paschal's fourth published book. His first three published books are: The Black Buddhist: A Personal Journey, The Black Buddhist: A Spritual Journey and KIDNAPPED: The Saga of Juan Sebastian DeCruz Dr. Paschal is the father of four children: Aleta, Kolette, Zakia, and Meikle, Jr. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
