While she holds a master's degree in both accounting and business administration, Dawn Jean has enjoyed spending her professional career in educational administration. After a career start in corporate America, she was blessed to find her true calling: spending her days with children. These children (or little ones) have not only brought an abundance of inspiration and joy but have also given her the passion and imagination to write children's books. Metro Mutt was adopted into Dawn's family in 2018 and has been an adventure ever since that point in time. Because of Metro's adventurous personality, the idea of him helping little ones learn was born, and the Metro Mutt series was created. Dawn has a drive for new adventures and, as the mother of two adult boys, a passion for silly reminiscing about their childhoods. Living on the coast of Northeast Florida, she enjoys writing and all good things that come with the beach life.
